Summary
Polishing plate developed to quickly and evenly polish materials with a lapping film. The polishing plate of the present invention has a structure in which convex islands of several tens of microns (shape example: regular hexagon) are arranged in rows and columns on the surface. A polishing film is attached to a polishing table of the present invention magnetically mounted on a rotary polishing device, and polishing is performed under running water.
According to the polishing method of the present invention, the following effects can be expected.
1) The sample can be polished rapidly without sticking to the polishing film.
2) Even if a composite material with different hardness is polished, the boundary surface of the composite material can be clearly identified.
3) Even beginners can mirror-finish without damaging the sample.
