MIRAI MR17-05C HPLC Phytoplankton pigment concentration

Concentrations of phytoplankton pigment were sampled from subsurface layer (<100 m).
Filter samples were stored in a deep-freezer (-80˚C) until analysis on land.
Pigments were extracted in DMF with 10 min bath sonication and soaked overnight in a freezer (-20˚C).
The pigment extract was analyzed following to the HPLC method of van-Heaukelem and Thomas (2001) using a C8 Zorbax Eclipse column maintained at 60˚C.
