Distribution of Stylaraea punctata (Linnaeus, 1758) in Okinawa Island, Japan
Distributions of Stylaraea punctata was investigated in Okinawa Island, Japan in 2019. We conducted diving surveys at 14 sites and found S. punctata colonies at 4 of the 14 sites, indicating S. punctata inhabits around Okinawa Island. However, only a few number of S. punctata colonies were found in each site, suggesting the rareness of S. punctata in the island. Considering the conservation of the species, the coordinates of the studied sites are disambiguated. Detailed location information may be available on request.
