JAMSTEC manages/publishes various types of data obtained by JAMSTEC research cruises. It was appeared that errors in a part of gravity data obtained by using R/V Mirai, associated with converting into absolute gravity.

The data provided here are quality-controlled absolute gravity data and free-air anomalies. Absolute gravity data is a combination of relative gravity data measured by shipboard gravimeter and absolute gravity data of the ports in departure and arrival. The cause was that an incorrect value was used for the absolute gravity value of the port used. There is a difference of several to several tens of mGal in the defect data compared to those processed with the appropriate values.

The following data has been reprocessed and published using the correct absolute gravity values for the port.　Please refer to the Readme file of each data for details.
