The field experiments on MR02-K05 (Leg 1) are conducted under the collaboration between Japan and Canada for the long-term interdisciplinary studies in the Western Arctic Ocean (2002-2005). The experiments are also cooperated with an US project on the Western Arctic shelf-basin interactions (2002-2005).
