JAMSTEC has copyrights of all data within this site.

  • For purposes of academic research, and educational activities such as lessons at non-profit educational institutions or personal uses permitted by the copyright act, you can use videos and photos on the website without authorization of JAMSTEC for free. Please express clearly in your paper, document, video etc. that JAMSTEC data is used if you use videos and photos from the website.
    You can apply for high resolution version of online videos from My Library. Please apply for them 10 days before your deadline date since it takes time to prepare. If we need more than 10 days to prepare the data, we will contact you in advance.
    In addition, user registration will be required to use My Library. Original sizes of photos can be downloaded directly from the website without applying.
  • For commercial purposes including collection of admission or any other charges, please fill out the application form, and the videos and photos will be provided with fee.
    Moreover, if you edit or process any videos and photos on the website, please contact us in advance and follow our instructions.
