Coastal Ecosystem Monitoring at Chijiri-hama on the Tsugaru Strait, Shimokita Peninsula in 2026 - Biological Information System for Marine Life

Abstract

Marine organisms observed and collected during coastal ecosystem monitoring at Chijiri-hama, Mutsu City, Aomori Prefecture, were compiled in Darwin Core format. This monitoring program continues the work of Tanaka (2014). In 2026, the monitoring was conducted by a total of 33 participants. The monitoring was led by the Mutsu Institute for Oceanography, with participants carrying out specimen collection and field observations. Taxonomic identification was performed by two experts, T. Yusa and T. Yamazaki. The dataset was compiled by Global Oceanographic Data Center.
