Bathyraja violacea キタノカスベ - Biological Information System for Marine Life

体は亜三角形で、尾はたいてい尾を除いた体の長さよりも短い。体盤の背面は項部および肩帯部の棘を欠き、尾の中央に列生する棘の間隔は不揃い。体盤背面には微小な棘のパッチがあるが、腹面は滑らか。背面は灰色から褐色で、しばしば、虫食い状の斑紋がみられる (Ishihara & Ishiyama, 1985)。本種はベーリング海およびオホーツク海の水深 47-520 m から記録されている (Hatooka et al., 2000)
