概要
棲管は柔軟で先端近くには襟状の張り出しがみられる。棲管の長さは 60 cm、先端部分の太さは 13 mm 程度に達する。成体の殻蓋部には最多で 35 対の鰓葉が存在する。基部鞘状鰓は 3 対で Lamellibrachia 属の中で最少。ハオリ部の腹面と栄養体部には先端にクチクラ小板のある小突起が無数にある。クチクラ小板はハオリ部と栄養体部でほぼ同じ大きさである。本種は南太平洋の熱水噴出域（ケルマディック背弧海盆ブラザースカルデラ（1,598-1,604 m)、マヌス海盆 DESMOS サイト（1,900 m）、南マリアナ海盆 TOTO カルデラ（2,935 m））からみつかっている(Kojima et al., 2006; Miura & Kojima, 2006)。
