Paralomis verrilli ゴカクエゾイバラガニ／イボイバラガニ／コブイバラガニ - Biological Information System for Marine Life

ゴカクエゾイバラガニはカリフォルニア沖からアラスカにかけてのアメリカ太平洋岸、ベーリング海、北海道、本州、四国沖縄の太平洋岸から知られている(Sakai, 1971; Wicksten, 1989; Hendrickx & Harvey, 1999)。甲は五角形で幅広く、背面は様々な大きさの小顆粒で覆われる。歩脚は長く、背側によく発達した棘が列生し、腹側には短い棘が2 列に並ぶ。ゴカクエゾイバラガニは化学合成群集に特異的な種ではないが、沖縄トラフの鳩間海丘の熱水噴出域において高密度で観察される(Watabe & Miyake, 2000)。
